Why I Built DMSI DDLS
I professionally develop WordPress sites and software products for clients. But when I started building my own software to sell, I hit a wall: licensing solutions cost $500-700 per year — before I’d earned a single dollar.
Then I missed reminding clients about service renewals because I was so focused on development. That was the wake-up call: I needed an affordable, automated solution for licensing, downloads, and subscriptions.
So I built DMSI DDLS. What started as a tool for myself grew into something more
comprehensive. After 6+ months of development — sometimes 16 hours a day — I realized: if I needed this, other solo developers probably do too.
But I didn’t stop there. Managing multiple products as a one-person team meant juggling product management, development, QA, documentation, marketing — all at once. So I built Claudius Corp: a virtual company framework where AI agents handle entire departments, following the same workflows and standards a real team would.
That’s the DMSI philosophy: if the tools don’t exist or cost too much, we build them ourselves — and then share them at a price that makes sense. One person with the right tools can compete with companies ten times bigger.
