Team Product Seat Tier in Bundles #
Limitation: When a bundle contains a product configured for Team Management (multi-seat licenses), the bundle always grants the first configured seat tier (index 0) from that product’s seat tier list.
Why this occurs: In a normal (non-bundle) purchase, the customer selects a seat tier at checkout via a dropdown. Bundle purchases have no per-product checkout step — the customer buys the bundle as a single SKU. The system uses the first seat tier as the default for any team product found in the bundle.
What this means for admins:
- If you include a team product in a bundle, configure that product’s first seat tier to be the seat count intended for bundle customers.
- If the same team product is sold both individually (with multiple seat tier options) and within a bundle, the bundle always grants tier 0. Ensure tier 0 is the appropriate value for the bundle price point.
- If you need different bundles to grant different seat counts for the same team product, create separate WooCommerce products (one per seat-count variant) and include the appropriate product in each bundle.
Bundles Cannot Contain Other Bundles #
A bundle product cannot include another bundle as a child. Only regular DDLS products (software, service) can be added.
Child Product Subscription Settings Are Ignored #
Child products’ individual subscription settings (billing period, interval) are not used for bundle purchases. The bundle’s own subscription settings govern all renewal behavior for the entire bundle.
