Searching for Customers #
The search box (top right of Customers screen) searches across four fields simultaneously:
- Email address (most reliable)
- First name
- Last name
- Company name
Search Tips #
- Partial matches work (“john” finds “Johnson”)
- Case-insensitive
- Searches as you type
- Finds customers even with misspellings in company names
Search Examples #
Search “acme” finds:
- “ACME Corp”
- “Acme Industries”
- “acmeinc.com”
Search “john smith” finds:
- Customers named John Smith
Search “@gmail.com” finds:
- All Gmail customers
Common Search Strategies #
Finding by Email #
Most reliable method. Type full or partial email address.
Finding by Company #
For B2B customers, search company name to find all employees.
Finding by Domain #
Search “@companyname.com” to find all customers from one organization.
Search Limitations #
- Cannot search by license key (use Licenses screen instead)
- Cannot search by order number (use WooCommerce orders)
- Cannot filter by status (all customers shown)
