Extension Status Widget #
A single place to see the health of all your installed DMSILM extensions.
Overview #
The Extension Status widget was introduced in v1.2.0. It replaces the previous pattern of per-extension admin notices scattered across the admin interface, consolidating extension health information into one dashboard widget.
What It Shows #
The widget lists every installed DMSILM extension with the following details:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Extension Name | The name of the installed extension |
| Version | The installed version number |
| License Status | Current license state for this extension |
License Status Values #
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Active | Extension has a valid, active license |
| Inactive | Extension is installed but not licensed |
| Expired | Extension license has passed its expiration date |
| Not Licensed | No license key has been entered for this extension |
Action Links #
When an extension license is expired, missing, or inactive, the widget displays a direct link to the Core Licenses section where you can enter or renew the license key. This saves navigating through multiple menus.
Why It Matters #
Before v1.2.0, each extension displayed its own separate admin notice when a license was missing or expired. With multiple extensions installed, this created notification clutter. The Extension Status widget consolidates all extension health into one glanceable location.
Typical use:
- During your morning dashboard check, scan the widget for any red or warning rows
- If an extension shows Expired, click the link to renew before your customers encounter errors
- After renewing a license, refresh the dashboard to confirm the status updates to Active
No Extensions Installed #
If no DMSILM extensions are installed, the widget displays a message indicating there are no extensions to show. The widget remains visible so you know where to look once extensions are added.
