Email Templates #
Email templates can be edited through the admin interface. Go to DDLS > Email > Templates to customize the content of each notification type.
Available template variables include:
- Standard: customer name, license key, product name, site URL
- Portal links:
{{portal_url}}– direct link to the customer portal (added v1.0.1) - Preferences:
{{preferences_url}}– link to notification preferences (added v1.0.1)
What you can control:
- Who emails are from (From Name, From Email)
- Which notification types are sent (on/off per type)
- The content and layout of each template
Test Mode (Advanced Tab) #
The Advanced tab includes a Test Mode toggle. When Test Mode is enabled, outgoing emails are intercepted and not actually sent to customers. Use this when testing your setup to avoid sending real emails during development or configuration.
Email UID (v1.2.0) #
As of v1.2.0, every outgoing email is assigned a unique identifier (UID). The UID is:
- Stored in the
email_logsdatabase table in theuidcolumn - Injected as an
X-DMSI-UIDmail header in the sent message
The UID lets you correlate your mail server or hosting logs with specific records in the DMSI DDLS email log. See [Email Logs Guide](#) for details on searching by UID.
