License Types Settings Tab #

Manage admin-defined license types from within plugin Settings.

Where to Find It #

Go to DDLS > Settings > License Types tab. This tab was added in v1.2.0.

What It Does #

The License Types tab is the management interface for creating, editing, and deleting admin-defined License Types. License Types are named categories (for example, “Single Site”, “Developer”, “Lifetime Agency”) that can be assigned to products and variations to apply preset defaults.

What each License Type can define:

  • A descriptive name and slug
  • Default activation limit
  • Default license duration
  • Whether the type represents a lifetime (non-expiring) license
  • Custom permissions or flags specific to your business

Managing License Types from This Tab #

Create a New License Type #

  • Go to DDLS > Settings > License Types
  • Click “Add New License Type”
  • Enter the name, slug, and desired defaults
  • Click Save

    • Edit an Existing License Type #

  • Locate the type in the list
  • Click its name or the Edit action link
  • Modify the fields
  • Click Save

    • Delete a License Type #

  • Locate the type in the list
  • Click the Delete action link
  • Confirm deletion

    • Note: Deleting a License Type does not automatically remove it from products or licenses that are already assigned to it. Existing assignments remain but will show the type as unavailable until reassigned.
