Support Contract Section in Order Emails #
When a customer purchases a product that includes a support contract but no license key, DDLS adds a "Support Contracts" section to the WooCommerce order completion email sent to the customer. This applies to any product with Enable Support Contract enabled and Enable Licensing disabled — for example, a standalone support product.

The support contract section appears in the customer order email when:
- The order item has a support contract assigned (
_dmsilm_support_contract_idorder item meta) - The order item does not have a license (
_dmsilm_license_idorder item meta is absent)
The section is not added to admin order emails, only to customer-facing emails. Items that include both a license and a support contract (bundled purchases) are handled separately and do not appear in this section.
Why Customers Are Directed to the Portal #
After purchase, the customer's new support contract may be:
- Auto-bound to an existing license (if a matching license was found)
- Unbound (if no eligible license was found)
The email directs customers to the Customer Portal where they can view their contract status and, if unbound, manually bind it to one of their licenses.
Implementation Note #
This output is added via the woocommerce_email_order_meta action hook (priority 11). No configuration is needed — the section appears automatically on eligible orders.
