EULA Settings #
Go to DDLS > Settings > EULA to configure the EULA system.
Enable EULA System #
Toggle: Enable EULA and Terms System
When disabled, the EULA system is inactive. No acceptance checkboxes are shown and no acceptance records are created, even if EULAs are assigned to products.
Turn this on when you are ready to require acceptance from customers.
EULA Scope #
Options:
- All Products
- Licensed Products Only
| Setting | Behavior |
|---|---|
| All Products | EULA checkboxes appear on any product with an EULA assignment |
| Licensed Products Only | EULA checkboxes only appear on products with licensing enabled (the “Enable Licensing” checkbox checked on the product) |
Use “Licensed Products Only” if you only want customers accepting EULAs for your software products, not for other product types like ebooks or non-software products.
Product Tab Title #
Default: “License Agreement”
The label for the product page tab that shows the full EULA text. Customers see this tab label on the WooCommerce product page.
Example values:
- “License Agreement” (default)
- “Terms of Use”
- “End User License Agreement”
Terms Position #
Options:
- Above Add to Cart
- Below Add to Cart
Controls where the acceptance checkbox appears relative to the add-to-cart button on the product page.
Checkbox Text #
Default: “I agree to the {link}”
The text displayed next to the acceptance checkbox. The {link} placeholder becomes a hyperlink to the full EULA text.
Examples:
- “I have read and agree to the {link}”
- “I accept the {link} for this product”
- “By purchasing, I agree to the {link}”
Data Retention #
Retention Period (years): How long acceptance records are kept before being eligible for automated cleanup.
Purge Batch Size: How many records are processed per cleanup run.
These settings support GDPR data minimization requirements. Set to 0 to retain records indefinitely.
