Filtering and Searching Licenses #
Finding the right license quickly is essential for efficient customer service. DMSI DDLS provides powerful filtering and search capabilities.
Search Box #
The search box (top right) searches three fields simultaneously:
Search by License Key Copy/paste the entire key for exact match.
Search by Customer Name Type first or last name. Partial matches work. Case-insensitive.
Search by Customer Email Most reliable method since emails are unique. Partial or complete email works.
Search Tips:
- Case-insensitive (“john” = “John” = “JOHN”)
- Partial matches work (“john” finds “johnson@example.com“)
- Searches as you type (instant results)
- Searches all three fields at once
The Six Filters #
Above the table, you’ll find 6 powerful filters that work together:
1. Status Filter #
- All Statuses
- Active
- Expired
- Suspended
- Cancelled
- Revoked
2. Expiration Filter #
- All (any expiration date)
- Expired (past expiration)
- Expiring Soon (next 30 days)
- Active (future expiration)
- Lifetime (never expires)
3. Created Filter #
- All Time
- Today
- Yesterday
- Last 7 Days
- Last 30 Days
- Last 90 Days
- This Year
- Custom Range
4. Activations Filter #
- All (any activation count)
- None (0 activations)
- Under Limit (has room)
- At Limit (maxed out)
- Over Limit (exceeded – rare)
5. Subscription Filter #
- Yes (license has associated subscription)
- No (one-time purchase)
6. Support Filter #
- All (any support level)
- None (no support)
- Basic
- Premium
- Enterprise
Using Multiple Filters #
All filters work together for powerful searches:
Example 1: Renewal Opportunities
- Status: Active
- Expiration: Next 30 Days
- Result: Active licenses expiring soon that need renewal attention
Example 2: Failed Renewals
- Status: Expired
- Subscription: Yes
- Result: Failed renewal attempts to investigate
Example 3: Customers at Limit
- Activations: At Limit
- Support: Active
- Result: Customers with active support who are at their activation limit (upsell opportunity)

After selecting filters, click the blue [Apply] button to refresh the table with filtered results.
