Editing a License Type #

Steps #

  • Go to DDLS > Settings > License Types.
  • In the list table, click the name of the License Type you want to edit.
  • The Add New form transforms into an edit form pre-filled with the current values.
  • Make your changes.
  • Click Save License Type.

    • What Can Be Edited #

    All fields except Slug can be changed after creation. The slug is locked at creation time because it may be referenced by external integrations or stored in license records.

    Effect on Existing Licenses #

    Editing a License Type does not change any licenses that have already been created. License settings are resolved and written to the license record at the time of purchase. Existing licenses retain the settings they were created with.

    If you need to update an existing license’s settings, edit the individual license record directly from DDLS > Licenses.

    Editing System Types #

    System types (marked with a lock icon) have restricted editing. You can update their descriptions and sort order, but core permission and duration fields may be locked to protect system behavior.
