License Type Permissions Info Box #

When you are editing a WooCommerce product, the DDLS Licensing tab shows a License Type info box that summarizes the selected License Type’s current defaults.

What It Shows #

The info box is a read-only panel that appears automatically when you select a License Type from the dropdown. It displays:

  • Activation Limit – The type’s default activation limit
  • Duration – The license duration in months, or “Lifetime” if the Is Lifetime flag is set
  • Allows Updates – Yes or No
  • Allows Premium Content – Yes or No
  • Allows API Access – Yes or No

Purpose #

The info box is informational. It helps you understand what defaults the selected type applies before you decide whether to override them at the product level.

Overriding License Type Defaults #

If any License Type default is not right for this specific product, fill in the corresponding field in the Licensing tab. The product-level value takes precedence over the License Type default during order processing.
