Editing Existing Products #
Changing licensing settings on existing products affects only future licenses, not existing ones.
What Changes Affect #

To update existing licenses: Must manually edit each license or use bulk actions.
When to Update Existing Licenses #
Option A: Don’t Update (Most Common) #
- Existing customers bought under old terms
- Honor original purchase agreement
- Only new customers get new terms
- Use when: Terms were part of sale
Option B: Upgrade Existing (Goodwill Gesture) #
- Use when: Improving product value for all customers
Option C: Grandfather Existing (Mixed Approach) #
- New customers get new pricing/terms
- Existing customers keep original terms until renewal
- At renewal, offer new terms OR legacy pricing
- Use when: Changing pricing model
How to Edit a Product #
Changes apply to future purchases immediately.
