Saving and Publishing #

After configuring all licensing settings, you must save the product.

What Happens on Save #

When you save/publish a product with licensing enabled:

  • WooCommerce saves product – Normal behavior (title, description, price)
  • DMSI DDLS saves licensing meta – License settings, support settings stored
  • Product syncs to DMSI DDLS – Product appears in DDLS > Products list
  • Ready to generate licenses – Next purchase creates license with these settings

    • Verification Checklist #

    After saving, verify:

    • [ ] Product appears in DDLS > Products list
    • [ ] Activation limit shows correctly
    • [ ] License Type displays the correct admin-defined type name
    • [ ] Make test purchase to verify license generation
    • [ ] Check license has correct activation limit
    • [ ] Verify expiration date calculated correctly
    • [ ] Confirm support contract created with correct duration
    • [ ] Test that downloads require support (if enabled)

    How to Test #

  • Put product in test order (WooCommerce test mode)
  • Complete purchase
  • Go to DDLS > Licenses
  • Find newly created license
  • Verify all settings match product configuration
