What Are Anomalies? #
An anomaly is a metric value that deviates significantly from its expected baseline. DMSI Analytics compares each metric’s current value to its historical pattern and flags deviations above a configurable threshold.
Examples of anomalies:
– MRR drops 25% in a single day
– Download volume spikes 5x normal
– Churn rate doubles vs last month average
– License activations drop to zero
Anomaly Types #
| Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Spike | Metric is unusually high vs baseline |
| Drop | Metric is unusually low vs baseline |
| Trend Break | Metric’s trend changes direction suddenly |
Anomaly Severity Levels #
