Managing Anomaly Alerts #
DMSI Analytics sends email alerts when new anomalies are detected. Configure alert settings to avoid alert fatigue while staying informed of critical issues.
Configuring Alert Recipients #
- Go to DDLS > Analytics > Settings
- Find Anomaly Alert Settings
- Under Alert Recipients, enter one or more email addresses (comma-separated)
- Save
Alert Severity Threshold #
You can configure which severity levels trigger an email:
| Setting | Alerts Sent For |
|---|---|
| All (default for new installs) | Low, Medium, High, Critical |
| Medium and above | Medium, High, Critical |
| High and above | High, Critical |
| Critical only | Critical only |
Adjust this in Analytics > Settings > Anomaly Detection > Email Threshold.
Alert Email Content #
Each anomaly alert email includes:
– Metric name
– Current value
– Expected baseline value
– Deviation percentage
– Severity level
– Timestamp of detection
– Link to the Anomaly Detection page
Pausing Alerts #
If you are running a planned event (promotion, launch) that you expect will cause metric spikes:
- Go to Analytics > Settings > Anomaly Detection
- Toggle Pause Alerts on
- Set an end date for the pause
- Save
Anomalies are still recorded during the pause, but no emails are sent. Alert emails resume automatically at the end of the pause period.
