Geographic Distribution of Downloads #
See where in the world your customers are downloading your products from.
Requires WooCommerce
Geographic data requires WooCommerce to be active. DMSI Analytics usesWC_Geolocation::geolocate_ip()to convert IP addresses to countries. If WooCommerce is not active, an admin notice appears and the geographic section of this page will be empty.
Geographic Map #
The world map visualization color-codes countries by download volume (darker = more downloads). Hover over any country to see the download count.
Downloads by Country Table #
Below the map, a sortable table shows:
– Country name
– Total downloads
– Unique customers
– Percentage of total downloads
Using Geographic Data #
Common uses for geographic download data:

| Identify underserved markets | Countries with many customers but low download rates may indicate localization or language issues |
| Plan support staffing | Know which time zones your customers are in |
| Understand piracy risk | Unexpectedly high downloads from regions without purchases may indicate sharing |
| Target marketing | Countries with high download rates are proven markets for future campaigns |
Privacy and IP Addresses #
IP addresses are stored in the analytics_events table and used for geolocation. Under GDPR, IP addresses are personal data.
DMSI Analytics includes GDPR compliance hooks. When a customer requests data erasure, their IP addresses in the events table are anonymized. See GDPR and Data Privacy for full details.
