Funnel Builder Overview #
The Funnel Builder lets you define multi-step conversion funnels based on DDLS events and see where customers drop off.
Accessing the Funnel Builder #
Go to DDLS > Funnels in your WordPress admin.
What is a Funnel? #
A funnel is a sequence of steps a customer should ideally move through. By measuring how many customers complete each step, you can identify where the biggest drop-offs occur.
Example funnel: License-to-Active User
1. License Created (100% enter)
2. First Activation Completed (% who activate)
3. File Downloaded (% who download after activating)
4. Second Login (% who return after first download)
How Funnels Work in DMSI Analytics #
Each step in a funnel corresponds to an event type tracked by DMSI Analytics (license_created, activation_created, download_logged, customer_logged_in, etc.).
When you define a funnel, DMSI Analytics queries the events table to count how many unique customers passed through each step in order, within a configurable time window.
Funnel Chart #
The funnel visualization is a vertical bar chart showing customer count at each step. The narrowing of the funnel visually represents where customers drop off.
