No Analytics Data Showing #
If your analytics charts are empty or all showing zeros, use this checklist.
Checklist #
Step 1: Was the plugin just installed?
Analytics data collection begins at installation. Pre-calculated metrics only exist after the first nightly cron run at 2:00 AM. If you installed less than 24 hours ago, trigger a manual calculation:
– Go to Analytics > Settings > Data & Maintenance > Run Metric Calculation Now
Step 2: Is the date range correct?
Check the date range selector on the chart page. If the range is set to a period before the plugin was installed, there will be no data. Try “Last 7 days” or “Last 30 days”.
Step 3: Has any DDLS activity occurred?
Analytics only captures events that DDLS Core fires. If no licenses have been created, activated, or renewed since installation, there are no events to calculate metrics from. Test by creating a test order in DDLS.
Step 4: Is WP-Cron working?
Metrics are calculated by WP-Cron. If WP-Cron is disabled on your server (DISABLE_WP_CRON = true in wp-config.php), the nightly calculation never runs.
– Check wp-config.php for DISABLE_WP_CRON
– If it is set to true, either remove it or set up a real server cron to call WP-Cron
Step 5: Check the Events Table
Go to your database (phpMyAdmin) and check: SELECT COUNT(*) FROM wp_dmsilm_analytics_events;
– If 0 rows: events are not being captured (check for PHP errors or hook conflicts)
– If rows exist but no metrics: the metric calculation has not run or failed
