My Assets Page #
The My Assets page at /customer-portal/services/assets/ shows all tracked assets associated with the customer’s account. Assets include domains, SSL certificates, hosting accounts, and custom asset types.
What DMSI Service Management Adds
Asset tracking is a new feature introduced by this extension. Core does not track customer assets. This page provides customers with visibility into their asset portfolio and upcoming renewal dates.
Asset Cards #
Each asset is displayed as a card. The card contains:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Asset Name | Human-readable name (e.g., “example.com domain”) |
| Asset Type | domain, ssl, hosting, or custom |
| Provider | Optional field noting the registrar or host (if recorded) |
| Expiration Date | The date on which this asset expires or requires renewal |
| Days Until Expiry | Calculated remaining days, updated daily |
| Status | active, expiring_soon, expired, or renewed |
Renewal Alerts #
Assets approaching expiration are highlighted with a warning indicator. The expiration thresholds are configured by an admin (default: 7 days and 30 days before expiry). An asset enters expiring_soon status when it crosses the first reminder threshold.
Customers receive automated email reminders at both thresholds. The portal page reflects the same alert state regardless of whether the customer has read their email.
Expired Assets #
Assets past their expiration date are shown with an expired status indicator. They remain visible in the list so customers can identify assets that require immediate attention.
Asset Management #
Customers cannot add, edit, or delete assets from the portal. Asset records are created and managed exclusively by admin staff. If a customer needs a new asset added or an existing asset updated, they should submit a service request.
