Service Management Dashboard Overview #
The DMSI Service Management extension adds a dedicated dashboard to the WordPress admin area. This dashboard provides a real-time view of service operations across all customers.
What DMSI Service Management Adds
The Core DDLS dashboard covers licenses, subscriptions, and billing. Service Management adds a separate service-focused dashboard with 10 live widgets covering contracts, requests, SLA performance, revenue, and satisfaction. These are not modifications to the Core dashboard — they are additions in a dedicated section.
Accessing the Dashboard #
Navigate to Services > Dashboard in the WordPress admin sidebar.
The Services menu group is added by this extension and contains:
– Dashboard
– Contracts
– Requests
– Assets
– Service Types
– Templates
– SLA Templates
– Automations
– Reports
– Settings
Dashboard Layout #
The dashboard displays 10 widgets arranged in a grid. Widgets update on page load — there is no automatic refresh. To see the most current data, reload the page.
Permissions #
The dashboard is accessible to:
– Administrator
– service_staff (a custom role added by this extension)
Users with the service_staff role can view the dashboard and manage requests and time entries, but cannot access plugin settings or contract billing configuration.
Data Scope #
All dashboard widgets reflect data across all customers unless a filter is applied. Individual widgets may support date range or customer filters where noted in their individual documentation.
