Contract Status Widget #
The Contract Status widget gives an at-a-glance view of how all service contracts are distributed by status.
What DMSI Service Management Adds
Service contracts are a new data type in this extension. This widget has no equivalent in Core.
What the Widget Shows #
The widget displays a count for each contract status:
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Active | Contracts currently in effect with a valid end date in the future |
| Expiring Soon | Active contracts whose end date falls within the next 30 days |
| Expired | Contracts that have passed their end date |
| Suspended | Contracts put on hold (typically due to license or payment issue) |
| Cancelled | Contracts terminated before natural expiry |
The counts are shown as both numbers and a visual breakdown (typically a donut or bar chart depending on theme).
Interpreting the Data #
A healthy service operations state typically has most contracts in Active status with zero in Suspended.
A high Expiring Soon count is normal at renewal time — these contracts require follow-up to renew or extend. Contracts in Expired status that remain there for an extended time may indicate missed renewals.
Drill-Down #
Clicking a status segment in the widget navigates to the Services > Contracts list pre-filtered by that status, allowing quick review and action.
