The Subscription Pro Status Metabox appears on the WooCommerce order edit screen for any subscription order. It provides a real-time view of the subscription’s extended lifecycle state and allows admins to manually override certain states.
📌 What This Extension Adds: This metabox is added entirely by Subscriptions Pro and does not exist in core DDLS. It consolidates grace period, suspension, pause, and retry state into a single admin panel.
Metabox Sections #
Current State Panel #
Displays the active lifecycle state with a colour-coded badge:
- Grace Period (yellow) — Shows days remaining in grace period and next retry date
- Suspended (red) — Shows suspension date and auto-cancel countdown
- Paused (blue) — Shows pause start date, scheduled end date, and pause number (e.g. “Pause 2 of 3 this year”)
- Trial (green) — Shows trial start, trial end, and days remaining
Manual Override Controls #
Admins can perform the following actions directly from the metabox:

| Force Retry Now | When in grace_period | Triggers an immediate payment retry attempt |
| Extend Grace Period | When in grace_period | Adds 7 days to the current grace window |
| Suspend Now | When in grace_period | Immediately suspends access without waiting for grace to expire |
| Reactivate | When suspended or cancelled | Restores access; triggers payment if balance outstanding |
| End Pause Early | When paused | Immediately resumes the subscription |
All manual actions are logged to the WooCommerce order notes timeline with the acting admin’s username and timestamp.
