Encrypted Vault #
The Vault keeps sensitive notes behind a master password. Entries are encrypted on your device with a key derived from your password — Flexible never stores or transmits the password or the key. This is zero-knowledge: only you can unlock the vault.
Set up the vault #
- Open Vault and choose a master password. Pick something strong and memorable.
- Add entries. They are encrypted immediately.
Biometric unlock #
After setup you can unlock the vault with Windows Hello (desktop) or your fingerprint (Android) instead of typing the password each time. Enable it from the vault screen.
Using the vault on a second device #
The vault’s verification data syncs between your devices (never the key itself). Enter the same master password on your other device to unlock the synced entries there.
If you forget your master password #
There is no way to recover encrypted vault entries without the master password — that is what makes the vault secure. You can reset the vault, which permanently removes the vault key and deletes all vault entries (on this device and, through sync, your others) so you can start over with a new password.
A one-time recovery key is planned for a future release. Until then, keep your master password safe.
