What is Flexible?

Flexible is a private, offline-first productivity app for Windows and Android. It keeps your tasks, habits, goals, calendar, finances and an encrypted vault in one place, stores everything locally, and includes an optional built-in AI assistant.

What platforms does it run on?

Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) and Android 8.0 or newer. The two apps share the same features and can sync directly with each other.

Do I need an account?

No. Flexible has no account and no sign-up — your data lives on your device.

Can I use Flexible offline?

Yes. Everything works offline, including device-to-device sync over your local network. Only the AI assistant and, on Windows, license activation and update checks need the internet.

How much does Flexible cost?

The Windows app is €29 as a one-time purchase, which includes one year of updates and support. The Android app is completely free.

Is there a free trial?

Yes — 14 days on Windows, full features, no credit card required.

What happens when the trial ends?

Flexible locks behind a full-screen notice until you buy a license — you choose Buy Now (€29, one-time) or enter a license key. Nothing on your device is deleted; the moment you activate, the app unlocks with everything exactly as you left it.

Is it a subscription?

No. Your license is perpetual — your copy keeps working forever. Only new updates pause after your first year; renew updates & support anytime for €15/year with the Support for Flexible plan.

Can I use it on more than one computer?

Each license activates one Windows PC. Deactivate on one machine to move the license to another.

Which AI providers are supported?

Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI, and local models via Ollama. You choose the provider and model in Settings.

Do I need AI to use Flexible?

No. The assistant is entirely optional; the app is fully functional without it.

Who pays for AI usage?

Anthropic and OpenAI bill you directly through your own account. Running models locally with Ollama is free.

What is the MCP Server?

A separate, Windows-only feature that lets external AI tools (such as Claude Desktop) securely connect into Flexible and work with your data. It is different from the built-in assistant, and it is off by default.

What’s included?

Tasks, lists, projects, a Kanban board, habits, goals, a calendar, focus and Pomodoro tools, a finance tracker, an encrypted vault, and the AI assistant.

How does syncing work?

Flexible syncs directly between your own devices over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth — there is no cloud and no account. Open the Sync screen on both devices to connect.

Do Windows and Android have the same features?

Nearly. The core experience is the same; licensing and the MCP server are Windows-only, and the Android app is free.

Is there a preset schedule I have to follow?

No — that is the point. Flexible never forces fixed start or end times. You plan around your own rhythm.

Is my data sent to DMSI?

No. Flexible runs entirely on your device. The only outbound communication is license activation and update checks (Windows) and any AI requests you choose to make.

Where is my data stored?

In a local database on each device (on Windows, under %APPDATA%\Flexible). Sync moves data directly between your devices, never through a server.

How secure is the vault?

The vault is zero-knowledge: entries are encrypted with a key derived from your master password, which is never stored or transmitted. If you forget the master password the entries cannot be recovered — you can reset the vault to start over.
