Customer Portal Overview #
The Customer Portal is a dedicated area where your customers can manage their licenses, downloads, subscriptions, and support contracts.
What Customers Can Do #
- View all their active licenses and activation status
- Download product files (filtered by variation in v2.0.0)
- Manage site activations (activate/deactivate)
- View subscription status and billing
- View and bind support contracts (updated v2.0.0)
- Access account settings
How Access Works #
The Customer Portal is a real WordPress page with a shortcode. Customers must be logged in to view their data. The portal automatically shows only data belonging to the logged-in customer.
Portal Sections #
| Section | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| My Products | Dashboard overview of purchased products |
| Licenses | License keys, status, activations |
| Downloads | Available files for download (variation-filtered in v2.0.0) |
| Support Contracts | Active and unbound contracts with binding UI (updated v2.0.0) |
| Subscriptions | Recurring billing status |
| Account | Profile and settings |
Version History #
- v1.2.0: 3-column shell layout, real WP page, Portal Page Title setting, renamed tabs, logout placement
- v2.0.0: Variation-filtered downloads, support contract binding UI for standalone support contracts
Bundle Licenses (New in v2.1.0) #
When a customer has purchased a bundle product, the Licenses section displays a grouped view. The bundle appears as a group header with its child licenses nested beneath it.
- The bundle header row shows the bundle name, parent license key, renewal date, and renewal action button.
- Each child license row shows the product name, license key, activation count, expiration date, and a “Managed by [Bundle Name]” label in place of a renewal button.
Customers cannot renew individual child licenses. All renewals happen at the bundle level when the bundle subscription is renewed. See Bundle Products for full details.
