Version note: Bundle products were introduced in DMSI DDLS v2.1.0.
A bundle product groups multiple DDLS products into a single purchasable SKU. When a customer buys a bundle:
- One parent license is created for the bundle itself
- One child license is created for each product inside the bundle
- One subscription is linked to the parent — covering the entire bundle, not individual products
- On renewal, all child licenses are extended together in a single transaction
- The customer receives one renewal email listing all renewed products
Bundles let you sell a curated collection of your plugins at a combined price, with a streamlined checkout and renewal experience for your customers.
When to Use Bundles #
| Use Case | Example |
|---|---|
| Plugin suite | Sell “Developer Pack” = Plugin A + Plugin B + Plugin C |
| Agency toolkit | Bundle all your plugins for agencies at a discounted combined price |
| Starter kit | Group your most popular plugins for new customers |
How Bundles Differ from Individual Products #
| Individual Product | Bundle Product | |
|---|---|---|
| Licenses generated | 1 per purchase | 1 parent + 1 per bundled product |
| Subscriptions | 1 per product | 1 for the whole bundle |
| Renewal email | 1 per product | 1 consolidated email |
| Portal display | Standalone row | Grouped under bundle header |
| Renewal action | On each license | On the bundle (parent) only |
What the Customer Receives #
After purchasing a bundle, the customer receives:
- One order confirmation from WooCommerce (standard behavior)
- One parent license key for the bundle product
- One child license key per bundled product — each with its own activation limit, duration, and download access
Child licenses use each child product’s own configured settings (License Type, Activation Limit, Duration). The bundle product itself controls the subscription billing price and period.
