Troubleshooting #
App does not start #
Ensure you are running Windows 10 or later (x64). If the app installed but does not open, check Windows Event Viewer for crash logs. Try running as Administrator once.
AI Assistant says “Claude CLI not found” #
Install Claude Code from claude.ai/code. After installation, restart DMSI Planner and try again. Claude Code must be accessible from your system PATH.
AI Assistant gives generic answers (not querying my data) #
This happens with API-based providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini, Ollama). Only Claude Code (local CLI) has direct database access. Switch to Claude Code in Settings → AI Provider for data-aware responses.
Trial expired — read-only mode #
After 14 days, the app enters read-only mode. Purchase a license key from the product page and enter it in Settings → License.
License activation fails #
Ensure you have an internet connection. The app contacts the DMSI license server (DDLS) to validate your key. If the server is temporarily unavailable, a 7-day grace period applies for existing licenses.
MCP server port conflict #
If port 7900 is in use, change it in Settings → MCP Server. The MCP server failure does not affect normal app operation.
Database backup and recovery #
Your database is at %APPDATA%\gr.dmsi.planner\dmsi-planner\planner.db. Use Settings → Backup to create snapshots. To recover, use Settings → Backup → Restore and select a previous backup file.
